Here we go with a big Landsgemeindeplatz composition, a huge scene around the lakeside square at the heart of Zug Old Town. Ordered as a private commission, the canvas is 120 x 100 cm in size. It’s not the biggest i’ve worked on but it’s a pretty impressive amount of white space to kill! In the end it will show the Hotel Lowen and the Zugersee ferry, as well as the most recognisable features of the Zug skyline… it’s clocktower and church spires.

I’m also building the floater frame for it in the studio by hand using reclaimed wood. I’ll be posting some images of the construction and the painting process next week. The whole thing should be quite impressive and eye-catching by the time it’s finished! Watch this space.
