Winchester Cathedral in Spring

I think Springtime is definitely in the air. I was recently asked to create a fresh green view of Winchester Cathedral’s West facade for a private commission. So here is ‘Winchester Cathedral in Spring’. A new illustration from the historic city 28 x 28 cm made using acrylic and ink on paper.

Winchester Cathedral in Spring

I have been looking forward to updating my Summer version of the Cathedral view. My first attempt a few years ago didn’t seem to show the same warmth and atmosphere as my Winter scenes. It is nice to get another opportunity to take a look at a sunny afternoon in front of the West facade. I hope you like the results! The commission has now been shipped to New Zealand where it will make it’s home… it’s a small world and lovely to make those connections with different places around the globe.

If you like my stationery stuff please watch this space! I am planning on developing this illustration into a greeting card which you will be able to find in my Etsy shop soon. Hopefully I can also update a few more of the the older, slightly darker designs.

Update – You can now buy my Winchester Cathedral in Spring Greeting Card in the studio shop. 14.8 x 14.8 cm square, printed on 300gsm stock. Cellophane wrapped with a matching envelope, blank inside.
