I was delighted to work on this very expressive painting commission from a rocky section of Fistral Beach. Working from a particular reference photo I picked out certain colours and tones that I felt were playful, but true to the atmospheric vistas so often seen with the special light in Cornwall. The picture was created with acrylics and ink on a 60 x 60cm regular thickness canvas, before framing in a chunky white floater frame. I think the results are dramatic but fun, what do you think?
