Truro Cathedral in Blue

Here’s some featured artwork from the new England Originals project. The number of cities had expanded this year to include Truro, Canterbury, Worcester and the City of London. So I had the pleasure of working on some new skylines (new for me anyway) including this dusky painting of Truro Cathedral viewed from across the water.

Despite being pushed to a very tight deadline on this piece I still wanted to complete it using the hand painted acrylic and ink. I think working a little faster than I might usually do actually helped in this case… adding something a bit more dynamic in the brushwork.
