A little Winchester study to share with you, created with acrylic and ink on paper for a silent charity auction at The Pilgrims School. The school is set within the grounds of the cathedral, you can feel the age of the buildings as you walk through the close and pass under the big trees. I enjoyed trying out a new textured paper for this Pilgrims School Illustration… which is why the edges of the images are left a bit rougher. Acrylics can be loose and expressive when you need them to be!
Since creating the original Pilgrims School Illustration the school have been in contact over licensing the image for stationery. It’s a relatively simple image, but it’s wonderful to see it being used to complement the standard glossy brochure photographs. Hopefully that handmade touch will prove useful for their promotional materials.
