It’s rather nice to see recent artwork being put to immediate use. Often these things are six months (or more) in the making, but doing all of the design work myself allowed for a much faster turnaround. This Winchester & St Cross Calendar takes my classic Winchester calendar and updates it with two new paintings; the slightly Autumnal ‘St Cross Landscape’ and the snowy ‘St Cross in Winter’.
It’s the same size as in previous years; 210 x 210 mm (unfolds to 420 mm). I like the square format, it seems to show off the artwork best. It’s staple bound and printed on 170gsm silk paper stock showing one month per page. The boxes on the calendar pages are surprisingly big for writing on. It then has a premium feel 300gsm cover which I hole punch ready for hanging. The final extra, at the request of the shop, was the addition of a matching square envelope so that customers could send them to friends and relatives. The St Cross Calendar is now available exclusively at the Porter’s Lodge Shop. I might also make them available at my exhibition and open studio in November… but they’ve already been selling well so I might not have any copies spare.
I’m always open to collaborations with venues and retailers… if you’d like to discuss an idea for an exclusive range, or just want to make general enquires about the wholesale side of my business, feel free to get in touch.
