Last year I volunteered to help out with the PTA. Somehow bagging the role of treasurer. It’s nice to give back to a small village school, which provides such a wonderful supportive environment for both our kids. There are some wonderful events throughout the year, but the big one has always been the Itchen Abbas Christmas Fair. This year’s festive celebration is going to be held a little earlier; on the 18th November at Itchen Abbas Village Hall. It runs from 2.30-5pm. There will be lots of stalls, cafe and Santa’s grotto. If you are local or just in the area over that weekend… everyone is welcome to join us!
I’ve also bee able to contribute a few illustrated elements to the various posters and adverts. Little snippets taken from my bigger Christmas scenes for a touch of festive decoration.
The Grand Itchen Abbas Prize Draw
If you are able, please consider buying some tickets for our big Christmas Hamper Draw. They are available online at Jumblebee now and we will also be selling tickets on the day. I was able to make use of my studio lighting to photograph the hampers… so I’ve seen all the lovely items that can be won! There are some nice vouchers too. All of the winners will be drawn and announced at the end of the fair.
If you’d like to get involved with future events or make donations you can get in touch through our PTA website… in the meantime I’ll be sneaking in a few of my illustrated items (wrapping paper, mugs and greeting cards) to the hampers!
