Looking for signs of Spring? It’s a little dreary and wet out of the studio window today. But at least I have my palette of colours to cheer things up. One of the commercial pieces i’m working on at the moment is this view of Alresford Station and the Watercress Line. I already have a couple of snowy versions of this platform, but the Mid Hants Railway has some truly lovely events throughout the year. This one will hopefully be a bright Springtime scene with a lively steam train and vibrant bunting! I thought i’d create a Watercress Line colouring page from the composition sketch… in case you too want to add a little Spring colour to a grey February day!

I’ve also been including this in my Etsy and Studio shop orders as a little ‘easter egg’. It can be found on the back of the packing note and I try to change it up once a month for those that place regular orders with me. As always i’d love to see what colours you might find here… but if you’d prefer you can check back soon to see how my artwork turns out! Follow along with my seasonal commissions and personal festive projects… here on the studio blogfacebooktwitter or instagram. You can find more location inspired creative activity pages like this Spring on the Watercress Line colouring page over on the ‘Activities & Competitions’ section of the blog.
