I’ve had a great deal of fun this week playing with magnets and some new sublimation options. These little ceramic magnets aren’t the largest option available for printing (lots of bigger MDF or glass pieces) but I really like the quality. Both with the colour result and the robust material. It’s a nice strong magnet too, and will definitely hold up the kids artwork on the fridge!! Not every illustration works though, here I spent time focusing on my Winchester scenes. I tried to find an iconic set of city views, the Alfred statue an obvious choice… along with a Winter and Springtime Cathedral.

I think it’s a nice colourful set. We’re going to trial them at P&G Wells, along with the Well’s shopfront illustration now available to pick up in magnet form. I’m sure there are plenty of my other illustrations that would also be effective in this format but we’ll see what feedback there is from customers before spending too much time expanding out. There are so many sublimation choices, it feels important to focus on the items that are higher quality and show off the artwork in the best way possible.

If you’re a shop/business looking for fresh lines, let me know what places or scenes you’d like to see: https://linktr.ee/illustrationbyjonathan. I love to hear your suggestions for places to paint next and will always be interested in trying existing artwork in new ways.
