Description

Wintery scene at the historic city mill. This building is owned by the National Trust and contains a working flour mill powered by the River Itchen. It can be found at the end of my favourite walk along the river path. Here painted in closer detail from the old bridge that crosses the water. It was originally created for a series of Winchester Christmas cards, which included the illustrations: ‘Winchester by Cathedral Light‘, ‘Snowy Alfred‘, ‘Snow on the High Street‘ and ‘The City Mill‘.

Gifts

Gift wrapping is available if you would like to give this item as a present. A tag with a personal message can also be included. I use my own original designs for wrapping paper which you can also buy in packs for use at home.

If you’d like to buy an original piece of artwork, but would prefer to spread the cost, drop me a line to discuss options for paying in instalments. Smaller invoices can be arranged over a period of 3 months, 6 months or 1 year.

The City Mill Winchester

– Original acrylic and ink painting on specialist paper.

✍️ – Signed on the artwork & delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

– Can be presented in a frame with an acrylic glass window and white mount, custom framing is also available.

– Unframed artworks are still placed within a white mount, cellophane wrapped with cardboard backing and packed with tissue/brown paper.

– The frame is protected with tissue paper and bubble wrap. The artwork is then packed within a cardboard shell/box and filled with bubble wrap or airbags.

– Need it for a certain date? Add a note to your order and i’ll do my best.

Generally I present my artworks in a clean aluminium or thin wood frame and everything is finished by hand in the studio. If you have a particular custom framing style you’d like to match or if you’d like something different, i’d be happy to quote for a custom frame. Although I usually only keep black and light wood options in stock… almost all colours and materials can be ordered in.

Items are usually dispatched within 1-2 working days. For paintings or art prints that are framed, I wrap with archival tissue paper and bubble wrap before packing inside a sturdy box.
