Description

Original acrylic and ink painting ‘Torii’ on cut paper, finished within a 25 x 25 cm black boxed frame.

A torii is a traditional Japanese gate most commonly found at the entrance of or within a Shinto shrine, where it symbolically marks the transition from the mundane to the sacred. Here’s my little study complete with winter trees stone lanterns.

Torii Diorama

– Original acrylic and ink painting on paper.

– The artwork has been cut-out and raised from the background for a theatrical effect.

✍️ – Signed on the canvas & delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

– Presented in a glazed black box frame ready to hang.

– The frame is protected with tissue paper and bubble wrap. The artwork is then packed within a cardboard shell/box and filled with bubble wrap or airbags.

– Need it for a certain date? Add a note to your order and i’ll do my best.

Custom Framing

Generally I present my artworks in a clean aluminium or thin wood frame and everything is finished by hand in the studio. If you have a particular custom framing style you’d like to match or if you’d like something different, i’d be happy to quote for a custom frame. Although I usually only keep black and light wood options in stock… almost all colours and materials can be ordered in.
