Earlier in the Spring we had the pleasure of exploring Dublin for the first time. It was a wonderful long weekend, with much ground covered stomping around the city. One of the highlights of the trip was our visit to Trinity, with The Book of Kells Experience and the famous library. Here’s a Trinity College colouring page to play with, an outline of perhaps its most recognised feature ‘The Campanile’. It is actually a bell tower that very much feels like it’s the heart of the college, although not geographically central.

I do love a good campus and I seem to have visited a fair few over the years. I actually have a number of these queued and ready to be picked up for the easel. A couple of the expected places like the colleges at Oxford and Cambridge (there’s a good Winter Christmas card of King’s that i’ve been musing on for a while now). But also great cities like Cardiff, Bristol and Boston. Usually locations that I have visited recently or in the case of the American Universities were big remembered experiences from my student days. My Newcastle University illustration continues to be popular and I regularly get asked about other colleges… so it may well become a small series in itself.

This colouring page will also be included on the back of the packing note that will go out with this month’s online orders. I’d love to see what colours you might find here… but if you’d prefer you can check back soon to see how my artwork turns out! Follow along here on the studio blogfacebooktwitter or instagram. You can find more location inspired creative activity pages like this Tour de France colouring sheet over on the ‘Activities & Competitions’ section of the blog.
